Q: Why does the fuel pump keep shutting off on when I try to put petrol in my Mazda 121?
It's a 1996 Mazda 121 bubble car, and for some reason the fuel pumps at the petrol stations keep shutting off, no matter what angle or depth I use on my petrol tank. What causes this and is there anything I can do to fix it?
A: Start off slow, and gradually increase the flow.
If you go to fast, too soon then you will cause a back wash, that will create a rapid cycle of off/on.
Q: Where can I get a best deal for a used Mazda?
I want to buy a 626 Mazda 2000(or around that year). Who has experience with good dealers or good websites where you can get a nice car?

Q: How much would an auto shop charge to replace/fix the automatic seatbelt mechanism on a 91 Mazda 323?
My friend wants to sell me his old 91 Mazda 323 which is still in pretty good condition except that the automatic seatbelt mechanism on both sides are broken. They're completely loose so they would offer 0 protection on a collision. How much would it cost me to replace or fix them? The car will only cost me $400 bucks, so I wouldn't mind spending some money on safety.
A: Depends on which country you are from I could not see it costing anymore than 100, they are cheap and easy to fix

Q: Can I flat tow a 1986 Mazda 323 DX Hatchback with manual transmission?
We are just starting a fulltime RVing adventure for for years and I would like to be able to take the mazda with us and attach it by towbar.
Thanks for all the answers, But I talked to a Mazda specialist and he said teh car can not be towed on all four. The differential will still spin and ruin the transmission.

Q: What can I use to replace the transmission cooler lines on my Mazda Pickup?
I can't find just the lines anywhere. I was told that I could use rolled steel and just cut and bend it. I was also told that neoprene hose will work too. Copper was also suggested. Also what is the easiest way to install them?

Q: Will another ecu work with a mazda b2200-standard fuel injected>?
My husband has been looking for the last 3 months for something he can afford. Truck hardly runs and we were told it was the ecu, problem is no one has the one we need. His truck is a mazda b2200, standard with fuel injection, Would there be another ecu that would work?
A: Its ECU is plug and play so you can get a ECM from a same model, engine size and year. It will work. Or you can send the ECU out for rebuilt. I remember it costs around US$150 to rebuild it. Please search Mazda ECU rebuilt. You will find some place. There is one in Sacramento, CA I used to send ECU there for rebuilt.
Q: What are the normal warning lights on a Mazda Protege5 when you put the key in?
I own a 2003 Mazda Protege 5.
I am not sure if it is normal or not, but when I put the key in and turn it to the ACC position, after the 6 seconds when all the warning lights stay on, the Check Engine and the Oil Pressure lights stay on until i start the engine.
Once I start the engine however, they turn off.
I would like to know if this is normal, or if they should not be on EVER (except the 6-second period when all warning lights are on).
Right, I'm sorry, it's not ACC. It's the position where you have current to everything but you haven't started the engine yet.
A: Youre ok in the position prior to starting.
If the lights are on while the car is running I would get it checked out.
So, if the lights turn off when you start the car...youre fine.

MY mazda specifically is a 94. and is very low i am the second owner and would like to know if that height is the stock ride height.
A: for what you want to know that? if you dont like the car that low buy original suspencion springs and problem solved

Where to get a loan for pro star mazda formula purchase? The formula cost around $100,000. What type of a loan would it be, business or personal? I have no house so it cannot be an equity loan.
A: The car and basic equipment will add up to about $100k, that is correct... but that will leave you no money for entering races and the costs of campaigning for a year... which will likely be another $20-30k for mid to back field.
The fact that you are asking about this suggests you will not have much of a chance of getting such a loan, but: If you have a business plan and intend to make a profit, then you might be able to get a business loan. But again, if you are asking this, you do not have the needed sponsorship lined up or the team or possible drivers that would put you in a position to make a small (very small) amount of money doing this... so it would be an unsecured personal loan (given the nature of a race car, it's not likely that many lenders would consider the car itself or equipment as security for such a loan). The main question you will have to answer will be how you expect to pay it back? Can you afford the $20k/year to campaign the car, and another $30k/year in loan repayment?
If you can afford that, then check with your bank about loan rates and how much they can offer... if you can't afford a spare $50k per year, then you should likely look into a different form of racing, though if you are set on Star Mazda Pro, you might want to consider renting the car for the races you plan to run (I would expect car and related support will probably be in the $8-12k/race weekend area, plus any costs for damages you cause).
Q: What type of tires should I get for my Mazda 3s?
I have a 2004 Mazda 3s with 17 inch wheels and do not know much about tires. I am currently looking at Kumho Ecsta Asx, which are all season. Does anyone know if these are good tires? Or would someone recommend someone recommend another type of tire? Also is Kumho a good brand? I am buying them at Discount Tires i think, and they offer a warranty for $62, whcih will cover them up to 3/32" or 3 years. If i do not get that, then if something does happen to them, it is prorated for how much they will cover. Is this worth purchasing? Thanks for your help.
A: Well, to start Kumho is a great tire to go with. I have Kumho Escta Supra 712's on my 2000 Si Coupe and I love them. Before that I had Toyo Proxy 4's and Goodyear Eagle F1's. Those were also great tires but for the price and performace, Kumho is an excellent choice.
You may just want to take a look at the Bridgestone Potenza, Michelin Pilot, or the Dunlop SP Sport. All those are great Ultra High Performance All-Season Tires that are similar to the Kumho Ecsta ASX.
I also use tirerack.com to order all my tires. They have excellent customer service and the shipping is fast as well. Good Luck with your tire selection.
Q: What model of Mazda is similar to an Accord or Altima?

the mazda g5m transmission is known for bad synchronizing from 1st to 2nd do to the large difference in ratios.
People have recommended redline but never the exact grade.

Q: Where is the best place to find the U-joints for my mazda truck?
I have a 1988 Mazda B2200 with the long bed, and I need to replace the u-joints. I had already taken the driveshaft off by the time I realized that Autozone had ordered me the wrong ones. I called the Mazda dealership to ask about them, but they are almost $100 dollars a piece there while only $10 elsewhere. I have the part # for the one from Mazda and am wondering where I can cross-reference that #. As I said there are three u-joints with the front and back being the same and the middle one different. Mazda only has found the middle one. If someone has worked on this truck before, I would find it very helpful to talkl to you.
